9th International Conference on Concrete Block Paving

During the 1998 Third International Workshop on Concrete Block Paving conference in Cartagena, Colombia, a group of experts in block paving formed SEPT, the Small Element Paving Technologists.

They selected Argentina as the host country for the 9th International Conference to be held in Buenos Aires in 2009. Since then, the Argentina Concrete Block Paving Association and the Argentina Portland Cement Institute initiated the organization of the conference.

The event offers the building community the latest developments on this unique paving system that involves engineers, architects and pavement specialists.

The dream that started eight years ago became true at the closing of the 8th International Conference on Concrete Block Paving, November 8th, 2006 in San Francisco, California, USA when Pave Argentina 2009 was officially announced. Together with SEPT, we invite you to join us October 2009 at the Sheraton Hotel in Buenos Aires where researchers, pavement engineering consultants, landscape architects and contractors will exchange information on their experience from around the world.

During this lapse of three years, we have been and will be dedicated to the organization of the Conference as an essential tool for the development of this pavement system in Argentina, the southern market (MERCOSUR) of South America as well as in the rest of the world. Buenos Aires is a modern city with a great infrastructure that easily accommodates international tourism making it a prime location for combining the conference and social events.
